My mk. 1 solaris has an external bottom headset cup and an internal top cup. I'm thinking of trying an angleset in there, can I use an external top cup? Obviously this will raise the stack height a bit, but other than that I can't see a problem?
Anybody done this?

Of course you can. If using the same fork, you'll need plenty of spare steerer though. Enjoy!
