Just got the kit through. you get a standard outer cable and a thinner pink cable outer which I assume is to cover the inner cable where it is normally exposed to the elements (i.e. under the top tube). What I can't see is how you create a dirt proof seal between these two different sections of outer cable. Any done it and have advise to offer?

I've just replaced a set of these after 6 years of service. Bloody excellent piece of kit. The outers are complete bastard to cut though.
Sadly my bike uses full length outers so I've never used the pink sheath. I was under the impression that it slots onto the little black ferrule like extension which pops out of the silver end caps when they're fitted to the cable outers.
