I dunno about it being the best clamp but a twofish lockblock will happily sit on the back shelf of the helmet.

I used the lid mount from deal extreme. The rubber mount fits quite nice into the vents on the xen. Then use zip ties/velcro ties at front and back of torch to strap on. I've used for a few weeks and good secure fit.

You do feel the weight of the P7 tho, I wear a brick on my head at working for training purposes. ๐Ÿ˜†

One of these mounts, and then attached to lid as shown. I've used combination of one cable tie and one removable strap so can still adjust angles a wee bit. Works for me.

The Lockblock one fits nicely around the "bridge" between the centre rails, but its not cheap.
(Sorry, no pic)
If you're not fussy then THIS one will sit nicely around the rails, albeit off-centre.
I made mine a bit more sturdy with a big 'O' ring...

If you have a drill and tap, then this is perfect, and excellent value

Unscrew and discard the double mount bit, and just use the M4 screw to go into a tapped hole in the torch body.

I'll be buying a job lot, and offering a modification service for P7's soon.

Cheers, Rich
