Where do you get this elusive 1.1mm cable. Most shops I go in just have "Gear cable" and look at me really oddly when I ask for something so specific!!

Seriously it works a lot better and even moreso if you use it with 6mm outer (knowledge from my wrenching days...)

At the risk of looking clueless and gullable I didn't want to question whether it actually worked better - just as long as it does

jcromton - I'm pretty certain the stuff most sell is 1.2mm

Shimano is 1.2mm and SRAM 1.1mm
