I've just fitted some V2's with tech levers. I can't seem to find a position that works with the gear pods (LX circa 2004).
Do XT pods have an adjustable bar mount ? Any other suggestion (bearing in mind I'm running shimano rear mech)
Take off the windows if they're still on.
Done that still no good. I get the impression the only way to get the right setup is going to be by replacing the pods with some that have lateral adjustment on the bar mounts.
Current XT pods can be moved in and out, two positions, perfect position for me is indicators off with the pod in the inner most position with the pod mount outside the lever . . . as below :-

get some matchmakers with some nice x9 shifters
You can buy matchmaker's from hope to make the pods fit easier. £20 I seem to remember.
i think they even do a shimano matchmaker for the tech lever too.
I have XT shifters with Hope XT Matchmakers, it's just XTR matchmakers that are not available yet.
SLX shifters are also adjustable and have removable windows like XT, currently £30 @ ribble.
Not really sure I like the tech lever but the stoppiness is great 😉
