I just want to make it clear that a ride of between 40 and 150(!) miles to get to the start is not expected of all Bimblers. It is perfectly acceptable, indeed some would say normal, to arrive in a car (Audi, obvs. Or VW T5. We have standards)

HA! You're not fooling me. I've ridden in Cirencester area before, it was MOUNTAINOUS! (at least, that one particular hill climb was, hilly).

One of these pictures is of Cirencester and it's surrounding countryside, one is not. I'm not saying which is which, it'll be a surprise on the day

Where from Duffer?

From Carterton. It all looks like country lanes on the map, and Google reckons it'll be about a 90ish minutes ride (although i'm not sure what speed that is calculated on).

About thirteen mile an hour I reckon 🙂 Flattish from that direction, you'll probably wish you had a harder gear...

The wife has booked us a holiday on the 20th of September so I have to decide whether it's worth risking the 10,000ft descent in ihn's first picture. 😀

[b]Time: Wheels roll 10:30am[/b] so if you're a pred-ride faffer, allow time for faffing cos when we're gone, we're gone.

I'll be on a red hardtail, with a bright green pack. There's loads of car parks in town for your T5/Audi.

As stated up there somewhere /\, if there's loads of us we'll employ a rolling sweeper; first to a gate/junctions waits for everyone to go through whilst holding the gate/pointing the way, then rides at the back as sweeper. That way we don't lose anyone and those at the back have a continually changing selection of folks to chat to.
