Do they exist?

Need a new wheel and want to up the gearing slightly so want to fit a 7 speed cassette.

Spacing between the drop outs is 130mm I think.

Not sure what I need to buy?

Cheers

That’s seems like a nice wheel for a 7 speed bike. A cheap wheel would be around £50 from a lbs

But the mavic one will be much nicer.

What are you trying to do with the gearing and what is on there already

So it's my girlfriend's bike, a low end Claude Butler (Champs Elysee 2014 I think??). She rides it about twice a year but when she does finds that she runs out of high gears.

We bought a 7 speed 11-28 cassette to raise the gearing from the 14-28.

I naively thought it would be a quick cassette swap, but the original wheel has a freewheel build in to the cassette (I didn't even realise this was still a thing).

While playing around with it noticed that the axle is bent, so decided probably best just to get a new wheel (/ wheels) and put on the cassette that we bought.

From having a look around I think we need a normal freehub (8+ speed) and a spacer to make it work?

Pair of cheapy wheels bought off Amazon and a spacer to fit the 7 speed cassette on the 8 speed free hub.

Should get her sorted.
