I've just upgraded from a rs Tora solo air 29er fork to a fox 32 f29 fork and unfortunately my brake caliper isn't a straight swap. Both forks are post mount and the brakes are Clarks skeletal with a 185mm disc. Will any old 180mm adaptor work?

I'm fairly sure that it would, but it's likely that you would have to use a longer bolt and some washers to space it out.

Would work until you ordered something like this:

I would imagine that an appropriate 185mm adapter would work, but why can't you swap them over from the Toras?

I took a brake of a Revelation fork and tried to fit it to a Fox 36 recently... and I couldn't get it to work and got really annoyed as the adapter required should have been the same.

The adapter was the same and I was trying to install it all upside and back to front etc. When I looked at it the following morning I figured it out. Might not be the case here but worth having a cup of tea and going back to 😉
