With people complaining about LBS's recently I have to say I wish singletrackbikes was my LBS, I am chuffed with the service I got from them. Unfortunately they are somewhere up in Scotland...
As some of you know I bought a Kona Ute last week see this thread. I bought the bike from singletrack bikes, as it was only £525 delivered which was cheap. Anyhoo it was all good apart from an audible du-dunk from the drive train on every pedal stroke, a bit of swapping components found the OE pedals to be the culprit. So i emailed Dave at single track bikes and 3 days later a set of brand spanking DMR V8's have turned up on my desk gratis. So my thanks to Dave for providing a great internet service.
Dave is a good guy.
Wish I could say I'd shared your experience, ordered a part online that they showed as in stock, they took my money and I heard nothing else from them.
When I eventually called them it turned out they never had the part anyway, and two weeks later I'm still waiting for a refund despite two phone calls to them and two re-assurances that the money would be back in my account.
I notice they still haven't removed the part from their site, despite the fact its not even manufactured any more... 🙄
Have good MO from them too - albeit I had to re-chase them for a discount they said they'd give me.
