What is the best way to raw a frame so It an Achieve a shiny finish without using nitromors or the likes?

I was thinking sandpaper and lots of elbow grease?

Cheers

Sandaper would (eventually) get it off where you can access, but by heck would it be hard work. Your not going to get the paint off the fiddly bits like the welds etc though.
Why not just get it stripped. Cost you probably cost less than the sandpaper you'll end up using. I've stripped them in the past but wouldn't do it again. Just a ball ache.

Go to powder coaters, give them frame, powder coaters dip frame, give powder coaters money, take frame home , buff with wire wool, enjoy...

I've done a couple of frames now by hand, I just like the engineered look of a raw bike. To be honest if you can find a good stripper (te hee) or someone who can blast with soft beads use them.
By hand you are looking at a days work with nitromoors and a soft wire brush in a drill, a dremmel type tool is useful for fiddly bits. Its messy and Gloves and Goggles are a must! Then finish with wire wool. If you want it really polished by hand its a lot more work. If you had to buy everything from scratch it would be cheaper to get it done for you. Just sandpaper won't do it.
Opinions split on how to leave it afterwards, to lacquer or not? I don't lacquer. I find rubbing the mud off with a rag followed by a squirt of WD40 (other cheaper product are available) keeps it acceptable. its great not having to worry about paint damage although shiny scratches can be annoying until it oxidizes again.

Think I might go with the powder coater dip.

I had a bit go with sandpaper and that seemed to work, it was only 150grit so will try and get some 60grit or something to speed it up. Then wet and dry to give it a nice smooth finish.

I've been using emry cloth to get the paint off, once it's all off I'm going to use sandpaper then wet and dry to get it touched up. Then will polish it up.

What do you mean by 'paint'? I'm not going to paint it afterwards, just going to leave it raw. ๐Ÿ˜€

What is brasso?
