I've got an incredibly good eye for design/style/aesthetics.That Santa Cruz Bronson, it looks like it was designed around a colour scheme!
Great eye for style and aesthetics indeed. It's a Nomad.
That Starley is crying out for a Campag gruppo though.
For me the nicest looking bike frames are still traditional double triangle designs, it's all about clean lines so the only good looking full sus bikes are ones with suspension designs that resemble hardtails in look and the best looking hardtails are always smaller ones resembling BMXs.
so yeah.. BMXs! they look the best. I don't like colours much either so to me any old Murdered out BMX looks way nicer than a £7k mtb.
Same I think. On my black one, the logos are done by having a gloss paint finish against the matte finish of the rest of the frame.
No one else find logos on and around wheels ugly?
I do like that nicholai!

Quite like my own as well 😀

My Ti 456 has seen a few incarnations, but looking back I liked it like this

Lovely thing.

Agree on BMX's, but too many look the same - murdered out = unimaginative. Also I hate a slammed saddle on a BMX, need at least a fist full of seatpost.
dirt review of the nomad: What makes it special or what standout features does the Nomad have that might warrant the hefty price tag? After much deliberation all I can think of is the paint job and the superb build quality on display. And for many riders that's enough
I do like that nicholai!
Me too. I may have bought one.
Production Privees are nice, but that one above isn't a great example IMHO.
BMXs just look like childrens bikes to me.
That Nicolai ^^ looks good for a full susser.
It does but then it bloody well should considering the "money no object" build!!!
Yeah, quite possibly. But a fully murdered out bike is actually quite a difficult achievement.murdered out = unimaginative.
not a huge fan of the look myself either but notice even racers often run fully slammed saddles these days. I'm generally the oldest and only rider with a seatpost showing at my local skatepark. I happen to hate overly padded saddles on BMXs as well though. picky, eh?Also I hate a slammed saddle on a BMX, need at least a fist full of seatpost.

That Swarf in fresh goods today <3 <3

I'm not sure you're best placed to judge to be honest.
I've got an incredibly good eye for design/style/aesthetics. The key to a best looking bike is down to dimensions/sizes and balance. Then it comes down to purpose and functionality. It's got to be made for a specific job; no compromises.
DT's bike, purpose: hook, line, and sinker transport.
Again YT Capra here , sop much so im hovering over one
Pics or it didn't happen!

Jones talks a lot of shit, his reviews read like the ravings of an illiterate mountain biking Russel Brand. His negative marks about the bike - that it seemed to bounce back and fourth a bit..... cuz the weight distribution is a bit wrong seem to have been made up out of thin air. The geometry isn't that far off anything else on the market, whilst the force/displacement curve is very similar to the Capra's so I can't see the rear driving the bike forward more. (Although the leverage ratio is quite different to the Capras - regressive/progressive vs linear for the Capra.... maybe this effects the damping?)
Anyway, everyone else seems to love the bike. Including these guys who rate it second only to the Sanction (it would have come first if it had been equiped with a BOS fork like the Sanction) - the YT didn't fare as well.

I'd quite like a YT but I've been hearing a lot of reports that they snap. So it's between the Giant Reign (probably out of stock when I have some money), the Sanction (probably rides great and seems bombproof, can't get past it's looks and I have a sneaking suspicion it's actually another heavy freeride bike) and the Nomad (freaking expensive).
I've heard that nomad review was the watered down version...
That Reign color scheme is a little marmite for my tastes, saw one in the flesh the other day and in dam well nearly burnt my retina.
I know what you mean stewartc. I'd only seen photos, and then saw one for real at Llandegla a couple of weeks back, and it looked just as good in my view, in a sort of muddy tequila sunrise way !
All I learn from these threads is that some people like really ugly bikes. Especially when they've paid for them themselves.
