Hi
How do I know if my bike takes presta and schrader inner tubes?
https://www.decathlon.es/bicicleta-de-montaa-btwin-rafal-740-id_8314897.html
Wheels are Mavic Cross Ride and tyres are Hutchinson Python.
Last time I reckon I bought presta inner tubes, but schrader look a lot cheaper in Decathlon.. is there much of a difference with reliability?
Cheers.

They look like presta...haven't noticed a price difference. They all hold air...untill they don't.

Schraeder valves are a bit bigger diameter. It's possible they your rims are drilled only to fit Presta (or they may have a plastic collar fitted to reduce a Schraeder size hole).

Still, you probably own a drill, right ?

Presta - you press them to let the air out.

Both work as innertubes, but if your rims have a small hole in them, only Presta will fit.

I suspect you'll have presta valves but may be wrong. Personally, I prefer presta anyway, in fact, buy presta as they'll definitely fit, Schrader may or may not as they need a larger diameter hole.
