Hello,

In an ill advised bout of bike fixing I thought I'd try and sort out a stick piston on my Elixir 5s. I lude the piston with red rubber grease and pushed it back in to the calpier and now it won't come out!

IT feels like the lever has lost all pressure and continous pumping of it only causes the pistons to move fractionally in and out with every pull!

What have I done and how can I sort it out?

Any help much appreciated.

Thanks

Rhid

I don't think its that as I was careful not to allow each piston to come out too far. Maybe I pushed them in too far? Is that possible?

Nah i doubt its poss to push em back too far, sounds like air has entered somehow.
Little bit of brake fluid should have been enough to lube and free the pistons.

Yip sounds like air in the system. Time to buy a bleed kit. Easy to do just have tge you tube video handy.

Just check the lever is returning properly,Sometimes they dont fully return which means it cant refill the master cylinder. You might need to carefully push it back
