Just reading about the WTB Asym rim, and it talks about even spoke tension, use of same length spoke etc. I get why this would apply to a rear wheel, but aren't front wheels symmetrical anyway, so are these for rear wheels only, or am I getting muddled about why they're making them?
EDIT - Discs innit, silly me.

No, front wheels are also offset to accommodate the disc rotor.

As Daffy says. Older (rim-braked) rims are symmetric.
