I need to shorten the hoses on some new Clarks M2s, and cackhandedly mangled one of the spare inserts that came supplied with it so I need to get a replacement. The official replacement part is a one piece olive and insert, which is a bit weird as the ones that came in the box were separate inserts and olives that look just like the Shimano ones I can see loads of on eBay.
So, does anyone know if they're interchangeable? If they are it would be handy, as the other bike has Shimano Deore (M6120) so I could get a multipack, just in case.
Not necessarily, there's even 2 sizes of Shimano ones! IIRC you can tell the difference between the Shimano sizes by the colour/material of the barbed insert, but of course there's no reason Clarks would necessarily follow that convention.
