[Closed] Are bikes allowed on walking trails in Chamonix?

Does anyone know if the walking trails around Argentiere, La Flegere and Le Brevant are open to mtb's in July and August? We rode some of them at the end of June, and there seemed to be a feeling among the bikers we met that you can only ride some of the trails up until the end of June.

Does anyone know what the story is?

There are local bye-laws banning bikes from a big majority of the trails in the valley throughout July and August. Even the Mont Blanc Mountain Bike guys don't ride in the valley during those times any more. 'tis a shame. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

they are until the end of June and again from September - this applies to the whole of the chamonix valley

My understanding from a recent visit was that most, but not all, trails were restricted in July & August except for some high altitude ones around Les Houches and the ones shown on the map in the link below..
