Yes & Yes, unless you have an SLX double, then you will need shorter bolts. bolts.[IMG] [/IMG]

Yes, pleased with it, used the normal chairing bolts that came on my XT cranks. All good so far.

I literally fitted mine to my BFe this morning.

Fits fine, standard SLX triple from about 3 years ago, same bolts back in no problem. From my measurements the hope bash is the same thickness at the mounts as the SLX big ring I took off.

And it's actually Mamba Green. EVERYONE knows that. Tsk.

I'm available for fashion advice too if you need it. I suspect that you do đŸ˜‰

I'd like one but really want to know the weight.currently got a 200g raceface one. Hoping this is more like the 65g blackspire one. So could someone weigh a 34t one please before fitting.

If Althepal rides with his left foot forward then it could be argued that he has the bashguard on the right way up just that the crank graphics are the wrong way up.

My very bad. Just recently managed to get tyre logos and valves lined up as well.. Tsk.
I just looked at it and thought, that'll do.. How wrong I was.

I don't use a bash at the minute, and don't need one but I'm now thinking about it as these look great!

a few on here seem to have bashes bigger than their chainring, is this not [s]a bit daft[/s] defeating the object? Dropping the outer ring for more clearance, as afforded by a 32/34 whatever then decreasing clearance with a big bashring.

Or is it just for the looks?

Or do hope only make one size?

I rather like the yellow and blue mix - my own Wolf Ridge is bright orange with blue Hope highlights and that bash ring would look ace.

I wouldn't want to ride a bike with it fitted though. I might spoil it.

guessing most are running the smaller one with 32t chainring. Reason I commented was that I take enough chunks out of my 32t bash that any bigger (even 34) and I'd be worried about hooking up

Can't help feeling this is missing the point somewhat.... đŸ™‚

see poddy if you'd been running a 32 instead of a 36 that wouldn't have happened đŸ™‚

chainring looks ok tho so job done.

I know this is an old thread but Im trying to work out if one of these hope guards will fit on the new SLX and XT chainsets. Looks like it wont due to the tabs being different on new chainsets, am I talking crap?

Unless the new chainsets require a different size of ring (like xtr does) then these will fit just fine.

Fits XTR fine as i have one on mine but it is 9 speed XTR
only the granny requires an XTR ring or messing with spacers
I have a larger one than my chainring [32]in case i ever switch to 34 I figure the extra size is neither here nor there tbh

If you look here:

wow long link... I just cant see how the tabs on the guard will link into the chainset they are a different profile.
