Who did you use?
Any good?
Issues?
Cost?
Current frame is Matt black anodised bird am160 so would need pre treatment and also masking properly.
Only done it once and used a place behind the dog track, it was ok but I wouldn't use them again.
I had an excellent job done by Cycles in Motion just off Bramhall lane but it looks like they've shut down. Very interested to know if they've set up somewhere else.
Cycles in motion became Gritspoke who no one is really sure if they are still active after possibly moving onto a farm somewhere up Loxley.
I think Russell's do painting but possibly only on Bromptons.
I took mine to 18 Bikes who in turn sent it off to who they use for their frames. Did an excellent job.

Good info, thanks for that. Looks like they're inactive though.
We have had a few done at LSN in Castleford.
Daughter still uses them for car parts on her rebuilds
Not Sheffield, but LSN Coatings in Castleford are decent. Had a few frames done by them and not too far away.
+1 for LSN in castleford, very cheap had my lefty done about 5 years ago, in battleship grey looked mint, my local bike shop rebuilt it and said it was the strongest paint he'd ever seen
I've used LSN for three frames and every time they've managed to get powder in the BB threads. One they got a load of extra powder round the top of the seat tube too that ended up chipping really quickly.
However, they are cheapย and better than Two Brothers in Kelham Island (who, honestly, are total shits and I don't say that lightly).
Last lot of stuff I had done I used 7 Peaks, who seemed decent but that was just garden stuff, so I've no idea if they can handle a frame.
Best powder coat I ever got done was at Armourtex in London. It's amazing what a nice job a company who actually specialises in bikes, rather than car wheels and gates, can do.
Related question but does anyone know anywhere in Sheffield that could blast a frame?
I want to do a DIY paint job but I'd like to start with a perfectly clean frame without spending days and days sanding it.
Two Brothers did a couple of Islabikes frames for us. The first one was OK, the second one, a couple of years later, we had to get them to redo as it was covered in fisheyes. Didn't have any problems dealing with them, but it was definitely an old-skool industrial environment and I can see they could rub people up the wrong way without any shits to give about it.
CBF Powdercoating did a rough-as job on a set of car wheels and got really in my face when I said I wasn't happy - so I'd avoid them. (I think the initials stand for Can't Be F***ed)
