Next to the lighting centre.
Failing that, pretty limited in Newcastle itself!
Edinburgh in Byker I guess.

steels is in south gosforth, so actually a bit out of newcastle, right opposite south gosforth metro station. church road I think.

They normally have normal trek, spec and bianchi stuff, but occasionally have some exotica. last week they had a lance armstrong bike, from discovery (incredbly light) and a team GB beijing (sp) bike, but they're probably gone now, it was just a promotion

yeah, citycentre is a black hole for bikeshops, they are all in a donut around the edge. Ride on is the closest, its new but seems decent. MJ Steels is good. Edinbugh bike coop at Byker (biker metro, head up hill on shields road). Theres an evans at the metrocentre which is always good for a browse. theres some great roadie shops in tyne valley but doesn't sound much good to you.
