Hi Have a new specialized rock hopper. Have bedded in the discs only to have a noise when riding. It sounds like a metalic click. I don't hear it when I stand on the peddles, or when peddling hard. but do hear it when peddling from the saddle..... what is it?
does the seat post need lubing, or peddles changing?
I have tightened and checked all bolts etc
any advice?

If its only when peddaling seated, sounds like saddle to post or post to frame to me.
resolved by tightening? or lubing?
the seat post was v muddy has grit got in maybe?
I've sorted it in the past by giving it all a good clean then checking the saddle rails are seated on the post correctly and making sure it is tight and also have found most posts once you get grit / mud etc down the frame they click and crunch so take it out and give it a good clean then lube and reinstall. Should do the trick!
I'd be checking if you're pinging the end of the front mech cable with your leg so it hits something. Would cause the noise you describe, and take you all of 5s to check.
Tighten. Clean regrease and refit if that does not work

Will try cleaning approach, is ptf spray ok to lube?
has cleaned a bit and the problem went away for awhile...
here's hoping its just poor house keeping!
