Are they legal? If so what do you have and what is it like to ride with 2 adults on board?

Apologies for stating the obvious, but aren't they called .. .. tandems 🤔

We were out with a tandem club on Sunday and 3 of us were analogue and 3 were battery. Didn't cause any issues and we had a good time.

Looking for a bike with pillion rather than a tandem.

Look at Tern or Beno? I believe they do some and if they comply with the electrical part of the regs are legal..

This all depends what you’re asking here. Pedal Me regularly ferry passengers about in the front box of their e-cargo bikes.

Been to Decathlon this morning. Their cargo bike looks like it'd carry an adult passenger no problem.

We have the Tern GSD. Its main job shopping/tip runs/ 2nd vehicle. I have used it to pick up @ahsat from the train station. A brilliant fun little thing  that makes the mundane chores of life a bit brighter!

I believe the legal wording something like  "built or modified to take a passenger"  so yes they are legal so long as the passenger has a seat and somewhere to put their feet
