Hi, I'm considering one of the base models, how are people finding them for reliability and if there are issues how responsive is the support, not just for the the motor but the frame/bearings etc?
tia
Guy at work has one. No issues so far.
Four of my friends have them - including a friend who runs a high-end bike-repair business. No issues beyond a cracked rear rim (that bike is a year old and gets ridden hard). The bike-repair dude raves about their awesome tech manuals.
Drone-flying friend has no time for DJI as they never make anything backwards compatible.Â
Got a mate who's been dealing with DJI for a decade plus as a camera man using them for filming.
According to him, so long as the model you have is current and/or still within the 2-year Warranty they could not be more helpful.Â
The moment neither of those apply, their approach on the filming drones if they go wrong is 'oh well, time to buy a new one'Â Â
Will be interesting to see how people get on once their bikes are a few years old and no longer the latest version.  Â
Following. I guess you’re mainly interested in the motor system reliability? I see there are several bikes now offering the DJI motor, including Megamo which is on my shortlist. A key consideration for me is whether I can get my bike from a local bike shop in the event support is needed.Â
