Is any one using an Alfine hub with 18t sprocket and 36t chanring? What 'normal' gears is this equal to?

36-18 will be a bit steep ime
i run a 32-18 as do many folk which gives a good spread of gears for most riding

32:20 for off road and 32:16 on.
