Oh great & wise(?) STW hive mind...

Can anyone recommend some muddy cyclist-friendly accommodation within striking (riding) distance of Innerleithen/GT?

Looking for a camping pod/B&B/Pub for 3 of us in October.

Cheers

Camping pods actually at Glentress. Nice B&B on the road out of Peebles northwards, about a mile out of the town centre (can't remember the name but shouldn't be too hard to track down). Or for self catering, Innerhaven in Innerleithen itself is our default choice for somewhere to stay up there now.

WigWam at GT? I just slept in the back of the car and showered at GT, although that's probbaly less practical in a group 😛

Have stayed there and can recommend - has all the facilities a biker needs - is 6 miles by road (clocked it in car) to Inners' trail-head/car-park.

£20 pppn

Just go to any hotel in Innerleithen. They're used to mountain bikers so will have somewhere that they will let you leave your bike. When I was at the Gravity Enduro this year we stayed at the Corner House Hotel and they were great. The room was okay but the people were nice, the food was good and they had somewhere for me to leave my bike.

EDIT- Oh, and it was a 5 minute ride to the car parks at Inners.

Try the Glentress hotel. Stayed there 3 or 4 times now. right next to the entrance for GT. Not the cheapest, but the rooms are nice enough, and the food is amazing!

I'd struggle imagine anyone going for anything other than a camping pod or plain old camping at Glentress.
