[Closed] 9 spd Front shifter with 10 spd mech??

I'm currently running a xt m770 shifter with 770 shifter direct mount on a whippet frame with 3 chain rings,
Going down to 26-38 chainset but the mech doesn't go down the seat tube low enough so choosing to go with the m786 direct mount mech for a 2x10 crank for a 38 t chain ring
Was wondering as the pitch on the 10 spd crank is the same as the 9 is the lever ratio of the mech the same as the nine so it will move across the same amount with a 9 speed shifter abeilt only one click either way
