So I've got a 2016 Canyon Spectral EX8 on order. I'm sure most folk are aware of the current delays with Canyon and to be honest I don't trust them to deliver when the say, which has got me looking.....

Very similar on paper spec wise, but what's folk thoughts on the Lapierre? I've heard without the E shock it doesn't climb very well and the listed weight (11.9kg) is somewhat optimistic.

The limiting factor on climbing on just about any modern trail bike is the fat sack of spuds sat on it!!
What's your riding weight? Isn't there a rider weight limit to the DB inline?
Might be worth considering if your going for the canyon.

I hadn't seen the 80kg+ issue mentioned before. I'll need to read into it more.
I'm about 77kg, but with camelbak, clothes, shoes etc, probably more like 82\83kg.
