I'm building up my old orange p7 which I bought in 1996.
Anyone confirm the seat tube diameter please - both internal and external.
Orange have advised the seat post [b]should be[/b] a 29.6mm and the seat clamp a 31.8mm.
But I've read elsewhere that the p7 with a forward facing slot, as mine has, is a different size.
Anyone with an old p7 or a good memory confirm that?

Orange website gives different details to the info I've been given by orange.
P7 94-98 30mm seatpost 27.2 +shim seat tube 31.8 Slot faces rear
P7 98-05 29.6mm seatpost 27.2 +shim seat tube 31.8 Slot faces front
I bought the bike either late 96/early 97 and it has a front facing slot.
But is that with a shim?
I believe it has a factory fitted shim. It's how it came from new anyway. The slot faces forwards. I have no idea what the OD is as I haven't got any verniers to hand.
