  1. Owned the litespeed built Hummer, great bike right up until the frame cracked around the gusset on the down tube after nearly 4 years. Sold the replacement frame as 29ers were starting to appear!

  2. I really wanted a Stiffee but settled for a Marin ‘hardcore’ hard tail instead which was brilliant. That had dukes I think which I swapped for a set of Mx comps which I thought were brilliant unlike the dukes.
    There’s a What MTB (I think) issue from around this time that had a double spread of hardtail frames, Stiffee, cotic soil, DMR switchback, etc. 
     

  3. I do miss proper UST tyres.
    Vanilla 125’s were brilliant until the spring snaps. I built my Banshee Rune with a Z1 coil and it’s just as plush but crying out for a Grip 2 damper.
    I still have the Race Face free ride jacket as well. Front zip doesn’t work properly anymore though.
