Issue 156 – Inconvenient Injuries

Words: As told to Hannah There are plenty of other places revelling in the world of gruesome injuries and crash reels. We’re too squeamish for that. Instead, we asked you for the more ridiculous – and inconvenient – side of injury stories. Thanks to our Forumites for this selection of tales from the trail. This is an article from issue 156You are reading this because you are a full member I hope my novella makes…

What Mark doesn’t know about social media isn’t worth knowing and his ability to balance “The Stack” is bested only by his agility on a snowboard. Graphs are what gets his engine revving, at least they would if his car wasn’t electric, and data is what you’ll find him poring over in the office. Mark enjoys good whisky, sci-fi and the latest Apple gadget, he is also the best boss in the world (Yes, he is paying me to write this).

    Hmmmm last night after riding Pleny black all day we stopped for a few beers, which turned to lots

    Pushing my bike along the river as I couldn’t ride, ended up stacking it and smashing my FF helmet into pieces and have probably broken a bone in my hand.

    @weeksy

    have done similar, went for an intended couple of pints after work. which turned into workmates holding my nose and pouring shots down my throat.
    ended up back at work to collect my bike at 2am. Guys in the office were so worried they phoned my wife to come and meet me.

    apparently they had begged me to leave the bike there and they’d get me a lift home, but I wasn’t having it.
    my wife said she could see my lights weaving all over the path, she thought i was trying to ride it, but i was using it to hold me ‘upright’

    i was lucky, no injuries.

    cannae actually remember any of it, everything I know Ive been told.
