We are incredibly excited to team up with Dorset based watch company Elliot Brown to celebrate Singletrack’s 20th birthday, with this exclusive watch.
Who are Elliot Brown?
At Singletrack we know these guys from back in the day when Animal watches were involved in the UK Downhill racing scene. That was around 20 years ago, and then… “Elliot Brown started with a goal to build the most wearable, affordable, toughest watches on the planet. Long term friends Ian Elliot and Alex Brown share many years of totally unique watch making skills from the world of extreme sport and it’s this knowledge that forms the bedrock behind their extraordinarily capable watches”. Their values are great, attention to detail is incredible, and they do indeed make very good watches.
Twenty years is a lot of time, so Elliot Brown are making us a lot of watch. This top end timepiece is packed full of features, including:
- Your Name: This is your watch, and your very own Singletrack forum username will be engraved on the rear (max 25 characters).
- Beer O’Clock: Simply spin round the 120 click bezel until our beer bottle lines up with the hour hand to categorically prove it is indeed time for a beer.
- “Easter Eggs“: We have hidden several more unique Singletrack features, they are not easy to find, but they are there if you look.
- Charity Donation: In memory of late deputy editor, Jenn Hill, we are pleased to be making a 10% donation from each watch sale to St. Gemma’s Hospice.
Jenn Hill & St. Gemma’s Hospice
Many of you will remember Jenn Hill, our Deputy Editor who sadly died of, of all things, lung cancer in 2015. Her writing was inspirational and her dedication to her job saw her working right up until she really couldn’t. Jenn’s rock was her husband Tom, who also writes for us and, at the very, end Jenn and Tom were supported by the staff at St. Gemma’s Hospice, Leeds.
St. Gemma’s Hospice is a registered charity in the UK #1015941
The care they provide is some of the most challenging you can possibly imagine and for Jenn and her family they were incredible in her last few weeks of life. The support they provide as a charity is humbling and we have supported their cause wherever possible. This limited production run of Singletrack watches gives us another chance to do that, and so 10% of the sale of each watch will be sent to St. Gemma’s to help them to help others in their end of life care.

Bezel: high grip, uni-directional divers bezel case hardened to 1200HV Vickers hardness. Highly resistant to marking and provides an outer layer of protection for the watch. The high grip texture enables the bezel to be turned by gripping the sides or pressing downwards and the fine hobnail pattern ensures the bezel can’t be caught on anything, turning it accidentally
Case: 316L stainless steel case impregnated with matt vapour blasted finish. Every watch is individually pressure tested to 200m at several points during production
Crown: easy to use yet highly protected. Deeply recessed, screws down into watch case, triple sealed, hobnail knurling for secure grip, 4H position keeps it out of harms way
Dial: easy to read at a glance day or night with a military bearing that’s relevant and familiar. The hour markers are bold C3-coated parallelograms reminiscent of 1970s military dive watches, brought up to date with our trademark 12-3-6-9 cardinal graphics, with a white triangle at 12H to help orientate the watch when it’s dark
Hands: clear differentiation between hours, minutes and seconds hands with minimal chance of confusion. Short stubby ‘sword’ hour hand, long slender parallel minutes hand with pointed tip that reaches precisely to the minute markers. The seconds hand has a fine amber painted tip and C3 filled arrow head counterbalanced by a dark gunmetal ‘lollipop’
Crystal: bevelled 2mm sapphire with anti-reflective coating applied to the inner surface to minimise glare for perfect visibility in all light conditions. It’s mounted fractionally below the hardened bezel to minimise the chance of the edge becoming chipped, with a matching black sealing ring. To pass QC, every crystal must be capable of withstanding an impact applied 3 times by a 17mm steel ball dropped from 0.5m
Movement: Swiss Ronda calibre 715 with low-battery/end of life indicator that prevents the watch being issued with a low battery. It is housed inside a proprietary shock protection system consisting of a steel housing suspended by elastomer shock absorbers. Projected battery life is approximately 3 years
Strap: Premium matt black EPDM rubber strap with gunmetal buckle. Perfect for all sports. Silicone-free, hypo-allergenic, unaffected by ozone, seawater, or UV.Smart appearance with chamfered edges to slide underneath shirt cuffs. All 22mm Elliot Brown straps also fit
Strap fixing: solid steel strap bars that screw directly into the case shoulders, driven by a 5-lobe head so that the driver (included with the watch) can’t slip or climb out, ensuring simple and fast strap changes whilst also providing maximum security – no spring-bars to break
Caseback: bolted down using hex bolts creating a perfect compression seal and correct tension for the shock absorption system. Multiple surfaces minimise skin contact for comfort and bolting the case down ensures the case back logo and detailing are always aligned perfectly
- 9H-3H 43mm excluding crown
- 12H-6H – 52mm max to tip of case shoulders
- Maximum thickness 12mm
