Due to a new partnership between trade show companies, Messe Frankfurt and Messe Friedrichshafen, Eurobike will relocate to Frankfurt in 2022. Eurobike has been held in Friedrichshafen since 1991.
This move will see a restructure and change of concept for Eurobike. The current venue in Friedrichshafen allows around 60,000 visitors. In Frankfurt, this will increase to 150,000 over the duration of the show. Eurobike is already considered the world’s biggest bike trade show, so this change will see further growth.
Eurobike Frankfurt will take place from Wednesday, July 13 to Sunday, July 17. The first three days are reserved for the trade. This is followed by a festival weekend open to the general public.
Friedrichshafen to Frankfurt
Everyone will benefit from Eurobike’s relocation to Frankfurt – the bicycle industry, the mobility sector, the cyclists, and – last but not least – the the trade show companies. And, in the end, Frankfurt’s business community and climate-friendly mobility, as well.
Tarek Al-Wazir, Minister for Economic Affairs, Energy, Transport and Housing of the State of Hessen
The new venture and partnership named fairnamic will see Messe Friedrichshafen contribute its Eurobike and Aero clusters, and Messe Frankfurt its global sales network and additional resources.
We are changing the concept of Eurobike, both in terms of its content and staging. It will showcase cycling more than ever – and be staged as an event in the heart of the city. An experience for retail customers and a marketplace for industry and retailers. In short, the meeting place for all those who make up the sector. And a stage both for policymakers and the media. As always, the Eurobike concept in Frankfurt will be characterised by handling, experiencing, trying out and test-driving the products. In Frankfurt, the two worlds of cycling – sport/performance/competition and mobility/lifestyle – will unite.
