NoFuss Announces Longest 24 Hour Race In The UK

by 1

Never ones to do things in a calm and predictable manner, NoFuss Events has revealed a key detail of its upcoming Relentless 24hour race in Fort William this October. Due to the date of the event – on the weekend of October 29th and 30th – it falls on the end of British Summer Time. This means that while everyone else in the country gets another extra hour in bed, the teams and solo riders out on the 10km Fort William course, will have a groundhog hour as the clock will go BACK an hour in the middle of the night and they’ll have to live it all over again.

This means that riders will get 25 hours (plus a final get-you-home) hour in which to do as many laps of the challenging Fort William course as possible. NoFuss reckons that this means riders will have even more time to master some of the new technical sections they plan to introduce for this very special event. And with the event happening so close to hallowe’en, there are bound to be a few more surprises in the woods for the tired riders.

Easy does it on the start. No LeMans run here – just a 25th hour…

And if that weren’t all, the event is the official 24 hour Solo, Pairs and Team UK championships (and a WEMBO qualifier too).

And in OTHER NoFuss Events news, we hear that the Fort William Endurance Downhill event is back! We’re very excited about this as it’s a fantastic event that everyone needs to try. The idea? Race as many laps of the Fort William World Cup downhill course in six hours as you can (with a gondola ride back up – and missing out the road gap in the middle, you’ll be pleased to hear). The date has been set for July 8th 2017 and our Chipps has already put his name in the ring. More details will be announced soon, so sign up to the NoFuss newsletter if you’re keen.
