The Staycation: A Vancouver Island Adventure

Rocky Mountain’s athletes enjoy traveling all over the world to ride their bikes in unique, beautiful locations. Everywhere they go—from the backcountry of Argentina to the Great Wall of China and countless places in between—they hear people share their dreams of one day riding on our home turf in British Columbia. That’s why this year Thomas Vanderham, Brett Tippie, Geoff Gulevich, Wade Simmons, and Andreas Hestler decided to reinvigorate their love for home by exploring Vancouver Island, just a short ferry ride from our North Vancouver headquarters.

Downhill Brigade | Alaska series teaser

Check out the full project on kickstarter: kickstarter.com/projects/jgsconcepts/alaska-downhill-brigade
Alaska to date is one of the most uncharted free ride biking zones in North America. High alpine biking with views of the ocean, volcano’s, Mt. McKinley and the midnight sun, Alaska is the prime location for filming Alaska Downhill Brigade.
Many athletes in extreme sports spend much of their time in Alaska searching out the next big line to ride and film. In the free ride mountain bike world, this has yet to happen in Alaska. As local guides, production crew and riders we have searched out areas over the last 10 years for this project and we are pioneering Alaska for free ride mountain biking.

Introducing Cogburn Outdoors

And finally; in the ‘what bike for’ the post apocalyptic holocaust we present the ultimate fat bike.

Cogburn helps sportsmen pursue tradition and a passion to live off the land. We make gear for people looking to hunt, fish and forage in remote places.

Thanks to everyone that sent in suggestions this week. If you’ve seen or made anything you reckon should be up here next time, the address is, as ever: newsdesk@singletrackworld.com.

And remember: Keep feeling fascination, yeah?
