am looking at CRCS 15 quid a wtb tyre offers – like the look of the Raijin for forest mud plug – anyone used them? any others for all round day riding in lakes / peak etc

    cheers

I clicked on this thread to tell you my past woes about wtb tyres, but those actually look, and emphasis on look, like a pretty handy tyre.

Anyway, the last wtb tyre I bought was a nightmare to seat, weighed a ton, sidewalls rolled over, it lasted no time at all and worst of all was a totally unpredictable and horrible feeling tyre.

I’m a longterm fan of their Weirwolf and Timberwolf tyres but haven’t used the Raijin. Both the Weirwolf and Timberwolf are great all rounders, with the Timberwolf being more biased towards winter and the Weirwolf more biased towards summer. They are lightish for their sizes and are durable. Just make sure you go for the ‘Race’ softer compound, not the ‘Comp’ harder compound.
