    Hi there

Looking to compete in my first race, not sure what I need to take with me any ideas. I have got the tools and a work stand but will I need it, probably be that knackered I won’t have the energy to lift the bike up.

    Ideas?

    sense of humour
    spare tubes
    chain quick link

spare bits n bobs that you’d normally take on a longish ride in the hills

TBH it’s only a 6 hour event so I tend not to bother with too much kit
Small tent to hide from Rain/Sun/the wierdo in the pit next to you

    or as usual for us

    Single speed
    energy beer

did it last year, not a fan of the Parc Ferme pits, running is not riding

    As per tazzy tbh.

If you’re in a pair – a seat to rest on I suppose. Maybe some form of shelter from the sun/rain.

I like the parc ferme setup – it’s something a bit different and makes the event feel more racey. If everyone went back to their tents, it wouldn’t have the atmosphere.

Don’t worry about the run, you’ll have plenty of time to catch people up!

Run……. I must have missed that bit, how far do you have to run?

You have to run about 5 mins at the start. Good event though. Pits are small, even for one person.
