I’ve recently changed some pages on my team’s site and now it seems to be borked 😯

The website is: http://lvis.org.uk/ which brings up:

    Error
Your request could not be processed. The following error has occured:

    HTTP: 451 Unauthorized: Key Invalid
    Description: Unauthorized request: Invalid key

but if you directly to the home page at http://www.lvis.org.uk/index.htm then it works fine (as it always has).

Any ideas? Can’t seem to really find much useful info on google.

EDIT – I was talking nonsense.

Find a page called ‘Album1’ – that’s the title of the page http://lvis.org.uk/ is defaulting to. Looks like you might have cocked up the default page somehow – you don’t have an index.html and an index.htm or something?

    Thanks for the replies.

Don’t think we have any widgets

Can’t find any ‘Album1’ files. No duplicate index pages either.

It’ll be in, rather than the name of, a file. I think…

Can you find where your default page is set? Sometimes this is in your control panel, if you have one. Otherwise check your htaccess file for where the default file is

Is it a wordpress site? Has your API key expired / URL changed?

It depends upon what server system you are running – is it Linux running Apache?
    Or Windows with IIS?

He can’t update it very often – it takes him 9 months to make a decision! 😀

If you chuck index.htm on the end of the URL, you get the page displayed correctly.

IT Manager – not technical geek 🙂

It’s not wordpress – just simple html pages

There’s no specific home page setting – just a direct from my domain to the relevant folder in my webspace (same company) which is where the index.htm file is.

    Try renaming index.htm to index.html?

The default page will be set by the server – it needs to match. Sometimes you have access to change this on a control panel?

Yep in IIS your web-site properties will have a default directory tab and a documents tab which you’d need to check.

In apache you need to edit the master config files.

Thanks again everyone – it looks like it’s working again – maybe it was just a glitch at the host that just coincidentally happened at the same time as I changed the site…
