    I’m spannering a bike for a work colleague. The front shifter seems reluctant to move:

    Epic fail!

    Trouble is, I can’t find anywhere else on the bike to put that lock bracket.

    I’ve never liked lock brackets, always prefer to wrap it around toptube/stem or something like that.

    We come across this regularly, fitting a shim (usually supplied with the bracket)will normally open the clamp enough for the cable to run freely.

    either that or cut a groove in the plastic (melt a slot with a soldering iron)?
