    Hi all

I have recently bought a bike with a white seatpost and the post is now marked from raising and lowering. It’s a lush bike, real looker, but the post lets it down a bit. Can anyone recommend paint or anything to help? I tried white hammerite but it marked on the first move.

Looks or function??? I know!! Any ideas??

Get a black seatpost, and bars if you have to.

Why do you need to raise and lower your seat, do you share the bike with someone else with a different leg length?

Would love a dropper post but after the dosh spent on bike stuff and the glares I keep getting from ‘her indoors’ at the meer mention of anything bike related makes me fear of a ‘Bobbit’esque attack in the night!

Pedalling uphill to the top of the downhill trails I raise the seatpost up, then I drop the seat to rip downhill so the bike moves freely beneath me without snagging. That’s the norm innit??

    Tippex

dries almost instantly so you can touch up every time you re-raise the post

    pretty light to carry, too

lol. get a bit of white pvc pipe and put it around the post. make it short enough that you can drop the seat enough. sorted.

Sand off all of the seatpost paint, then it all looks scuffed! As long as it still fits raw would look quite dapper. Work your way down (or up rather) the grades and you could end up with quite a nice bit of polished alloy.
