Hi I am after 180mm and 160mm six-bolt rotors for my SLX brakes. Looking at this doc from Shimano are RT51 ok or should I go for RT75? Does it matter?

    http://techdocs.shimano.com/media/techdocs/content/cycle/EV/bikecomponents/SM/EV-DISC_ROTOR-2429D_v1_m56577569830625617.pdf

Shimano recommend RT64 but these are centre-lock.

    Cheers

I run hope floaters on mine with no dramas, so I doubt you’ll have an issue with either..

Pretty sure I have 160mm RT51s with mine and they work a treat. I happen to like the way they look which is a bonus.

One thing, according to this post you can’t use sintered pads with the RT51 so get the RT61 if you plan on doing that.

    Hope floaters.
Save weight on the rotors and save weight by having to file down the caliper mounts. Win on both fronts?
    They do look nice though.

If you are interested I have an unused (still in box) SM-RT75 160mm rotor for sale. It came with a set of XT brakes I recently bought, but I am still using my original rotors.

Drop me an email if you are interested.
