It varies, but what I am cooking tonight comes close:
Seared scallops with chorizo and pea puree
Fillet steak with crushed garlic potatoes and some rocket salad
    Something heavy and chocolatey

However, when in a more Alpine setting:
    Charcuterie
    Tartiflette and green salad
    Something heavy and chocolatey

All with good red wine. Nomnomnom

“Five cheese quiche with mash, beans and rocket.

Tarte au Citron with creme fraiche.”

Why do you say ‘creme fraiche’ and not just ‘creme’?

    beej
    Full Member

Probably because creme fraiche is different stuff to cream.

“Crème fraîche is a soured cream containing about 28% butterfat and with a pH of around 4.5. It is soured with bacterial culture, but is less sour than sour cream.”
