Trailmonkey,I know what you mean about ale not travelling well but Iv'e had a couple of bottles of Doombar tonight & it's travelled alright 300 miles up to here, west lancs (morrisons stock it).We also get the stuff on draught in Liverpool.

burp- we have a clear winner.

jail ale gets it by a nose from bath ales golden hare.

no suprise that jail ale is the strongest abv and has also traveled the least distance

Some champagne last night. Was celebrating some decent news for once, and you can't have half-measures.

very much a west country feel but i'm a firm believer that beer doesn't travel that well.

Oh, I don't know, once they're sterilised and bottled (like that lot) there's not a lot of harm a trip in a lorry can do.

All perfectly good beers, but not "real ale" when out of a bottle.

bottles ? what kind of amateur do you take me for ? those pictures up there are purely for descriptive purposes. i'd actually got a keg of each in. i'd even grown a beard and put leather patches on the elbows of my jumper.

    bottles ? pah

i wish it was apricot liqueur. it's actually a 47% apricot parrafin

suitable for the existence that del alludes to ^^

though that looks like a pic from his own portfolio.

I went to a beer tasting evening at the theatre of wine in Tuffnell Park on Thursday. Brilliant business idea, get the punters in, get them drunk and enthusiatic, send them out the door with bags of ale, (and whiskey, why not. and some sherry) substantially lighter of pocket.

Yesterday, I kicked off with these:

When I feel like it's pm enough (maybe shortly) I'll be reaching into the cupboard for one of these:

    and/or one of these:

surely you can tell that's Dave!? look at the brothel creepers for a start, never mind his substantial girth.

Now you come to mention it, with those sidey's there is quite a resemblance to Burchy1...
