Thinking of a Deuter or something for about £60, he’s already got a Camelbak bladder. I got a Dakine Nomad for £50 a while ago but….none left at that price.
Any advice would be appreciated.

What does he need it for? General riding? Commuting to school? General days out? I like my Deuter Race EXP – stays off the back, expands a little to carry laptop and underwear, tools and a bladder to work, includes a helmet carrier and raincover. It would not be suitable for school use though.

We have a 32L Deuter surplus to requirements, model Futura 32AC.
Although 3-ish years old it’s hardly used, as it was ought for my wife but was the wrong shape for her hips.

So, he needs a pack like a Race EXP? I’d actually seen that on CRC.

That’s fine – but I would pack it up in plastic for him and fake a label if you wanted 😉
