A mate and I are planning to go up to London (from Bristol) tomorrow for a pub crawl round Whitechapel / Spitalfields / Shoreditch etc followed by a curry before the train back in the evening.

What are conditions like in the Smoke at the mo? Are we likely to encounter travel problems due to snow / ice?

Train tickets are booked and paid for but we’ll give it a miss if we are likely to have problems getting around.

Also – any recommendations for a good curry other than Brick Lane? Been to 4 or five curry houses there and they’ve all been nice enough but haven’t blown me away.

It will be fine coming in from the west, I think its just the eastern outer suburbs that are a bit screwed

As long as the train can get you into town, it’ll be fine – weather is looking warmer tomorrow.

If you’re worried you can check the TFL site for travel updates before heading off: http://www.tfl.gov.uk/tfl/livetravelnews/realtime/tube/default.html
