My 88 year old grandfather, who has had 2 new hips, 1 new knee, a bowel tumour and subsequent, rather cumbersome, colostomy bag fitted decided his bike wasn’t quite stable enough for his excursions. He’s always been a keen carpenter as well as a retired builder and house designer he came up with this little beauty!

He couldn’t find any small tyred wheels so a couple of ply wood discs with rope nailed to them did the job admirably.

Just brilliant. When you get to that age and you’re still riding a bike, who gives a rats ass what anyone else thinks!? 🙂
I know people in their 30s who are too out of shape (i.e. Obese) to ride a bike.
