Was he just stuck, or was he buried? Might not have been able to get out of the car.

I would say bivvying at 28,000 feet on Everest in the open with no sleeping bag (as Stephen Venables did) is a bit more hardcore.

Am I the only person that thinks he may have exaggerated the duration a little?

There was an obese bloke in Dundee who didn’t eat for months – maybe a year IIRC. Under medical supervision and received vitamins etc as part of a weight loss study.
So one fat bloke not eating for two months, certainly possible if he could drink melted snow, but the circumstances do sound massively far-fetched.

That was the study i had in mind.
