No, but I got the £60 M&S one for my mates black tie wedding do, not bad at all for the money!
If it's only the once, why waste money? Go for it, just get a half decent shirt and tie.
FWIW, I got mine from a second hand shop and it was top quality for little lolly.
Unlikely, most of the people on here appear to be 40% tax payers, with six figure savings and investment property, a fifty quid tux would not be the done thing.
Ah, KT - most of those 40% tax payers appear to be achingly hip 40-something rebels so would splash the cash on a Howies t shirt and jeans ensemble but shun the whole 'sheeple' wearing of a shirt with a collar etc.

I looked at buying a cheap one for a black tie event earlier this year. Long story short, it proved more cost-effective for a one-off (and I looked better) just to hire one.
I got one 2 year ago for wife's work Christmas do, bow tie rubbish so wore black tie with it. Not amazing but did the job for couple hours and is in wardrobe for next one have to attend.
Yep got one 3 years ago for a wedding is perfectly fine
Get a decent shirt to go with it and your away no one would tell it cost £50
Get yourself a kilt and do it properly
