I need a new one for my cube stereo , the syntace, dt swiss one I had is not the best and I don't want to shell 30 quid on one for it to break again

The DT ones are more like £45
, Syntace do one themselves tho and it looks like everything is the same at both ends, just you tighten with an allen key it appears, where as, the DT requires no tools. I'd email Syntace first tho, to ask if their own axle is identical to the DT (bar the tool free handle and red button system). This would cost you £23 + post

You can change the language to English at the bottom (bit bizarre that). I think that might be the cheapest you'll get, unless you're prepared to wait for the slim possibility that something 2nd hand comes up on ebay.

ill think ill go for that.
broken axle is now secured with red loctite, its a bit worrying you can break the factory seal and be stuck some where with a puncture...

I presume this will work and presumably last quite well.

That Shimano X-12 probably should work, but looks different at both ends to the DT Swiss one. The Syntace one looks, on the face of it, the same as the DT Swiss (except for the QR handle). Personally, I'd go with the Syntace as a swap, but the fact is I don't know for sure.
Actually, for peace of mind, I might have accepted a straight swap, but £45 for the DT Swiss (at CRC) is a crazy price. I can't blame Jamesy for trying to shop sensibly.

yes the xtr one looks good but as b.a.nina says it looks different both ends , and no one can confirm it will fit so its rather.tricky to know.
it seems info for these types of systems are hard to come by, I really don't want the original one with the issues I've had , I can still use the one I've got but my trust in it has gone
