    besides carbon trim on the XO and different grip design are there any material / functional differences between them?
    Just pondering before I buy a set as my front XO thumb shifter has imploded….

    Yes. The X0 are much nicer to use and are higher quality. Won’t use anything but X0 gripshift on all my bikes.

    I think they’re only about 45 a pair at crc at the moment

    Love mine. Good quality ,with a strong spring action.Change as many gears in one go as you want.
    Can not understand why more people don’t use em.
    So cheap new hardly worth the effort of second hand. The SRAM short rubber grips are big value.
