If you are like me tall 6ft 3.5inch bloke and your after a new hardtail bike. you will not find another bike that is more comfortable and better specced than a carve pro.
ive checked all the geometry out on other brands and apart from orange no one else comes near! i cant understand it.

Obviously the OP is right – he’s read up on the geometry of all other inferior bikes on t’internet and has concluded that the only bike he’s actually sat on (not ridden, mind) is absolutely teh awesumz.

Therefore he must be right.

I think you’ll find if you read back through one of your many threads over the past 24hrs i actually gave you some sound advice, i was merely making fun of the fact that you’ve posted so many new threads when the one would have sufficed.
I’m 5’10 in my 5.10’s and bow down to a man of such huge stature, you the man!
Bikes, well i have a 2011 Specialized Enduro and a Specialized Camber (soon to be replaced by a Stanton Slackline ti), not quite sure what this has to do with anything – i’m able to ride them both at my height as i bought them in medium grown up size (man i wish i was taller), i’m also not sure if your trolling or genuinely just a bit enthusiastic/lacking in a sense of humour/aggressive.
If you can’t take a bit of banter then you may have joined the wrong forum!
Edit – and if you are a troll doing a late April fools then i take my pea sized hat off to you, very good 🙂

And just because I can’t resist, I’m 6’4″ and wouldn’t ride that Specialised (probably any Specialised, other than my much-loved, and cruelly stolen, ’92 Stumpy) if you paid me. Admittedly it’s because I’m a sucker for boutique brands, but c’est la vie.

I’m 6’2″ and I ride a large Stumpjumper evo.

Now you tell me what I’m doing wrong.

Hate to feed the troll but: 6 ft 2 and ride a large Salsa Horsethief.

And the OP appears to have overlooked the fact that the spec on his beloved £1,600 Specialised Carve Pro is almost exactly the same as my £1,100 Grand Canyon (only difference is elixir 5 vs elixir 3). Oh, but my Canyon has a 142×12 thru-axle on the rear too, whereas the Spesh doesn’t.

Putting it in context, the equivalent (£1,500) Canyon comes with Fox FIT Terralogic forks, a full XT gruppo and Elixir 7 brakes. And you’d still have £100 in your pocket too.

So maybe it’s not the best specced bike for that price.

6’3 here and I have ridden a medium chameleon for years cos its good fun going downwards.

but are the bars the same height as the seat? this is the all important measurement when considering bike geometry as is sitting on the bike in a shop.

I was on the verge of buying the Carve until I saw the Trek Superfly Elite (aluminium one, it’s the low down al version of their super top-end bike), which I bought 2 weeks ago. If I did my maths right, it’s actually slightly lighter too, and the frame sizes are hugh, I am 5’8 and I had to get the 15″ because I couldn’t stand over the 17.
