Media inflation 100% – not just the kiwi bitter but so much of the build up

    Let the game begin.

I’m hoping for a good game, and that England show a definite game plan rather than the wishy washy past

Farrell is a clown. That push handed all the momentum back to Scotland.

So as suspected it’s going to be another two months of crushed hope.

Well Scotland predictably messed up when chances were available and England did the job but looked rusty. I have to say A-A’s post on page one kinda of worryingly sums the teams up.

Cumon Wales tomorrow & hopefully Warburton won’t be out tonight celebrating Spurs going 2nd.

Italy been the most impressive team today and that’s not what I was expecting.

Good start – could be a fun match

A quiet for the kicker too (unlike yesterday)

    Great scrummage Wales. Needed that.

We certainly did. Was looking like Australia all over again for a while there.

I thought it was the England captain who was many I give silly penalties away 😉

Good come back from Wales. Fun for the neutral

    Hadn’t spotted this thread!

Deliberate knock on rule is shit. That is all.

    Yep, tough call there Flashy.

More butchered chances than Eng/Scot ??

Probably more fun to watch as a neutral!!

The really tough call was no card for the tip tackle.

Wales playing flat, ball is only just out of reach of Irish fingers.

Very nice to have a game with so few penalties. Have become too much of a feature in the modern game

So far this weekend of 6n rugby has hardly been riveting

27 phases and it takes an Irish cock up to create the penalty. Coaches nightmare.

So who will snatch this in the end?

    A Roberts or Zebo break?

    It’s quite tense though.

Just about fair, Molly. Ref bottled decisions in the first half, but overall Wales just couldn’t finish well enough. So, yes, suppose that’s about it.

Tackle of the match – Trimble on AWJ or Roberts 2H big hit??

I only saw the second half, but Irelands attack looked very pedestrian. 1 out and bosh it up!

I don’t know, the green machine’s attack looked grand for the first twenty. Wales’ increasing dominance of the Irish scrum seemed to suck the life out it. By the time Wales scored that first try I was relieved to concede 7 without the accompanying yellow card that would have resulted from a PT.

Not a classic IRE-WAL game but some big hits. Particularly enjoyed Trimble’s on Wyn-Jones. Didn’t think Trimble had a tackle like that in him. Surprised Zebo stayed on – he looked injured to me. Mullered some chances too.

Trimble looked up for it ( 😉 ) from the anthems. I think he won it too, but Roberts was awesome in the tackle too.

Yes, zebo looked less than 100% after a bright start.

Ok, lots of chances missd yesterday and today but a fun start and could be a close championship

Irish pack looked better in 2H after a ropey end to 1H

Brave of both teams to go for the win after 80…a mistake could have been very costly…I was bricking it in the last few minutes.
Not a fan of ITV sport coverage generally. Commentator summed it up when he said Wales were freshening up the front row with Charteris being replaced by Bradley Davies…they’re both second rows 🙄

Zebo had no oomph about him

Roberts looked like he’d eaten the whole box of oomph.

Ireland lucky there I’d say. Welsh v solid possession.

Some Irish set pieces in the backs did look sublime though.

As I mentioned on the other thread, they were going on about this being the first draw since ’74. Wales -Ireland 1991 was 21 all.(I was sharing a house with a bunch of Dubliners. None of us were happy .)

The Southern Hemisphere nations must be quaking in their boots………..

    Not…….

What a dreadful display of rugby all weekend .

    Only saw the Ireland/Wales game.

Very wham bam, but ultimately both teams just cancelled each other out, with only Ireland showing any creativity.

I’m going to say it but this weekend had some of the dullest international matches I’ve seen. 6 Nations can only get better hopefully.
